Tough Patch Rapid is a super strong, hard wearing, fast setting, hybrid pothole repair solution that withstands extreme traffic due to its high skid and rut resistance. Quick and easy to install, Tough Patch Rapid pothole repair can be used to fix defects in pavements, driveways, car parks and on high speed roads. Tough Patch provides a first time permanent repair in wheel turning locations such as junctions, traffic lights and roundabouts.
UltraCrete Tough Patch uses an innovative reactive binder that rapidly cures to provide a first time permanent repair, this binder is based on renewable materials and contains no solvents. The rapid curing reaction is activated by sprinkling water over the product before compacting. Once compacted the installation can be instantly opened to traffic and is able to be cored for assessment after 24 hours. The product can be used in all weather conditions. Tough Patch 6mm can also be used for emergency or temporary repairs where a rapid response is required to prevent risk to operatives, pedestrians, cyclists and motorists
Tough Patch comes supplied in a 25KG tub and is ready to use straight out of the bucket, because it’s a cold lay material it eliminates many of the risks associated with hot asphalt, such as extremely hot temperatures and dangerous fumes, and what’s more it can be trafficked instantly and used in the rain – so costly traffic management can be removed swiftly and you can move on to your next job quickly.

What is Tough Patch?

How does Tough Patch work?
Robust and rapid-curing, Tough Patch has been specially designed to harden immediately after sprinkling water over the asphalt, rather than compaction and the burning off of solvents as with traditional cold-lays, which also means Tough Patch can be used in the rain.
How long does Tough Patch take to set?
Tough Patch sets immediately and is instantly trafficable, causing very little disruption to pedestrians or motorists. The product can be trafficked instantly in wet, freezing and hot conditions.
How long does Tough Patch last?
When used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, Tough Patch is a permanent cold-lay repair material.
How quickly can you core test Tough Patch?
Tough Patch cures very quickly and a core test can be conducted after just 24 hours, compared with traditional cold-lay macadam that has to be left for 6 months.

Yes, Tough Patch is water is activated, and perfect for use in wet weather.
What is the Shelf Life for Tough Patch?
Shelf life in correct conditions, stored in a cool and well-ventilated place for sealed bags & buckets is 6 months. Once opened, all material should be used up.
