Ultrascape Flowpoint Smooth Charcoal, 20 x 25KG’s
UltraScape Flowpoint Smooth Charcoal is a flowable patio & paving grout which is ideal for porcelain, and filling joints from just 3mm between all types of paving slabs & setts. It’s perfect for use on granite setts, sandstone, limestone, Indian Stone, Yorkstone and concrete slabs – and particularly porcelain where a finer aggregate finish is required. The patio pointing mix comes in a handy 25kg bag so it’s not too heavy to lift, it’s really simple to mix with water and a large bucket, is fast to apply and is fast to set.
As Flowpoint Smooth is rapid setting it means that your patio is pointed far quicker than using traditional methods of pointing and jointing slabs. The grout is simply mixed and poured over the paving slabs, then worked into the joints with a squeegee, it’s then washed off after an initial 15 minute setting time to produce robust joints which stop weeds growing back!
For peace of mind, Ultrascape Flowpoint Smooth Charcoal exceeds all the requirements of the latest British Standard BS 7533. Flowpoint has been widely used over the last 20 years for a variety of projects including public realm, landscaping, streetscape projects and many non-commercial domestic patios and gardens. UltraScape Flowpoint is known and loved because it’s fast to apply, cost effective and produces solid robust joints – it is manufactured to last up to 40 years!

What is Flowpoint Smooth?
Flowpoint Charcoal is a flowable, fast set, external paving grout which is ideal for filling the joints in patio flags, paving slabs, terraces and pavements. Once cured it prevents weeds from growing between slabs.
How long does Flowpoint Smooth last?
When applied correctly, Flowpoint Smooth slurry paving grout can last beyond 20 years without the need to grout the paving again.
How long does Flowpoint Smooth take to set?
After mixing, Flowpoint Smooth external paving grout can take as little as 15 minutes to set (temperature is 20oC). However, as a rule of thumb – the hotter the temperature, the faster Flowpoint will set, in colder temperatures it’ll take a little longer for Flowpoint to set.
Is Flowpoint Smooth Paving Grout permeable?
No, Flowpoint Smooth is non-permeable, cementitious-based grout – meaning it doesn’t allow water to pass through it once set.
Can you use Flowpoint Smooth in the rain?
Yes, you can use Flowpoint Smooth Charcoal in light rain but ensure the paving joints don’t fill up with rainwater. Applying Flowpoint on a damp day can actually be beneficial, because it can stop the wet slurry from setting too quickly. For any water that settles into your joints prior to applying the Flowpoint Paving Grout, use a leaf blower to remove standing water.
What is the Shelf Life for Flowpoint Smooth?
Shelf life from date of manufacture printed on the bag, unopened in the above conditions, for sealed bags is 8 months. Please note: the use of this product after the end of the declared storage period may increase the risk of an allergic reaction.
