UltraCrete Instant Road Repair 10MM Grade (24 x 25KG Bags) is a permanent cold lay tarmac pothole repair deal, ideal for fast, first-time reinstatements on footways, footpaths and cycle tracks.
This 24 bag deal includes 24 x 25kg bags of IRR 10MM. HAPAS Approved and suitable for use in all weather conditions, including rain, it can be compacted and opened to traffic immediately.
For a permanent repair, use with UltraCrete SCJ Seal and Tack Spray.

Instant Road Repair 10MM Technical Details
Instant Road Repair 10MM includes fully graded, high PSV interlocking aggregate combined with specially formulated bitumen containing polymers and flexibilisers. It forms part of the UltraCrete HAPAS Approved Ironwork Reinstatement System and is satisfactory for use as a PCSM in accordance with Appendix A2.4 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1999: Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH), Third Edition, April 2010.
• Suitable for planned repairs
• Can be used in all weather conditions, including wet weather
• For permanent repairs, combine with UltraCrete SCJ Seal and Tack Spray
• Depth: 30–100mm
• Resealable buckets for reduced waste
• Approved for use on the London Underground and Overground
• Suitable for use as a PCSM in accordance with Appendix A2.4 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways – SROH)
• Supplied in 25kg plastic buckets or bags
• Colour: Black (Red available on request)
• NBS Plus registered for ease of specification
How do I apply IRR 10MM Pothole Repair?
- Saw cut a ‘picture frame’ around the repair or reinstatement area.
- Ensure the area is clean and free from debris.
- Seal the vertical edges and substrate using UltraCrete SCJ Cold-Joint Spray. Reinstatements up to 100mm deep can be completed using a layer-on-layer method.
- Apply the product to a depth of approximately 45mm and compact to 30mm to form the first layer.
- Re-apply SCJ Edge Sealant to the vertical edges before applying the second layer of Instant Road Repair 10MM.
- Repeat step 4.
- Re-apply SCJ to the vertical edges.
- Apply a final 60mm layer and compact to 40mm to achieve the finished surface course.
Please note: All compaction should be carried out in accordance with Appendix 8 of the SROH 2010. If over-banding is required, apply UltraCrete Instaband ECO.
