Additional information
Instant Road Repair 6mm includes fully graded, high PSV interlocking aggregate and specially formulated bitumen containing polymers and flexibilisers. It forms part of the UltraCrete HAPAS Approved Ironwork Reinstatement System and is satisfactory for use as a PCSM in accordance with Appendix A2.4 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991: Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH).
Once opened, all material should be used up. DOM is usually found on the lid or side of the tub or bag. For queries, please get in touch.
How do I apply Instant Road Repair 6mm for a Pothole Repair?
- Ensure the area is clean and free from debris.
- Seal the pothole edges and substrate using UltraCrete SCJ.
- Fill the hole with Instant Road Repair 6mm.
- Tamp down.
How do I apply Instant Road Repair 6mm for first time permanent repairs?
- Saw cut a ‘picture frame’ around the repair or reinstatement area.
- Ensure the area is clear of debris.
- Seal vertical edges and substrate with UltraCrete SCJ. Reinstatements requiring up to 60mm in depth can be achieved by using the layer-on-layer method.
- Apply the product to a depth of approximately 45mm and compact to 30mm to achieve your first layer.
- Re-apply SCJ Edge Sealant to vertical edges before applying the second layer of Instant Road Repair 6mm.
- Repeat step 4 to achieve the required 60mm depth.
Please note: All compaction should be carried out in accordance with Appendix 8 of the SROH 2010. If over-banding is required, apply UltraCrete Instaband ECO.
