We were delighted to congratulate a Pro-Joint customer Concept Landscapes on their involvement with the gold medal winning garden at RHS Tatton Park in 2016.
Within the ‘Home from Home’ garden, the young designer Robin Dwiar provided an urban oasis – a place for relaxation, repose and reflection combining elements of country and city life. The imagined owners have moved from the countryside to an urban area and want their garden space to include elements of their old and new life.
Concept Landscapes created the delightful garden path to Robin’s exacting standards, using over 6000 vertically placed reclaimed tiles. The ProJointTM V75-WTTM resin grouting was an obvious choice for them to use as it provided an attractive and time efficient resin grout for such an impressive project and comes in a choice of Buff, Black & Mid Grey.
The garden is designed as an urban oasis, providing a place for relaxation, repose and reflection. The imagined owners have moved from the countryside to an urban area and want a space that includes elements of their old and new life.
The structure of the garden is a modern urban square with countryside-inspired elements that will help the owners to reminisce. While tactile recollections, such as the feel of wheat are directly recreated through plants, the design also alludes to other traditional details of the the rural landscape. Hedges of different heights portray hedgerows and a rill running through the garden represents a stream.
The garden path, which is surrounded by planting, steps down several times and ends at a sunken seating area. Trees planted around the seating create a sheltered space and there is an exciting tree canopy overhead. The rill, echoes the effective use of levels used in urban squares, taking people away from the road and providing a sense of escape.
