How to install the Tile Rite Cyclone Paver Diamond Disc with a 300mm Blade x 20mm Bore onto a 300mm Stihl Saw?
Diamond cutting discs are a crucial tool for grinding, accurately cutting and polishing paving slabs and tiles. So, just how do we set up the Stihl Saw with a diamond disc?
- Before fitting your new disc, make sure that the saw is at a complete stop and that the motor isn’t running
- Insert the locking pin into the hole in the drive belt cover, then turn the cutting disc until the pin engages
- Use a wrench to release the clamping screw
- Then carefully remove the clamping flange and cutting disc if there is one
- Place the new Tile Rite Cyclone Paver Diamond Disc on the centring collar of the clamping flange
- Ensure that you tighten the cutting disc clamping screw using the wrench and turning clockwise to a torque of 25Nm
- Top up the Stihl Saw with two-stroke fuel mixture whilst the saw is safely on the ground
- Press the fuel pump button until the button is filled with fuel
- Then press both triggers and move the start/stop switch to the starting position
- If the motor is cold, pull the choke lever upwards
- If the motor is hot, pull the choke lever up and then push it back down
- Ensure that the Stihl Saw is held firmly on an even floor and hold the forward grip securely with the left hand
- Pull the starter handle, when the motor fires; move the choke lever back to its original position
