Instarmac’s UltraCrete M45, M60, M60F and M90 mortars are all rapid‑strength, cementitious repair and bedding products tailored to different performance needs. M45 is a rapid-strength bedding and repair mortar for minor repairs, kerbs, and access covers, ready for traffic in around 45 minutes. M60 is faster-setting and ideal for moderate to heavy traffic areas, while M60F adds fibre reinforcement for extra durability and crack resistance. M90 is a high-strength, all-purpose mortar for heavy-duty repairs and industrial surfaces, ready for traffic in about 90 minutes. All products are suitable for roads, pavements, footpaths, driveways, car parks, industrial floors, loading bays, and concrete kerbs and edges.
M45 is a rapid‑strength bedding and repair mortar with fast setting and strength gain, ideal for emergency concrete repairs, bedding kerbs, profiling and use with access covers, opening to traffic in around 45 minutes.
M60 is a market‑leading rapid‑strength bedding mortar widely used for bedding access covers, granite setts, flags and kerbs, offering very fast strength gain and traffic access in about 60 minutes with HAPAS approval and HD27/15 certification.
M60F builds on M60 with added fibres for improved flexural and tensile strength, enhancing durability and performance in the same rapid‑setting applications.
M90 is an all‑purpose fast‑set masonry and bedding mortar that provides good rapid strength and economical general repairs, ready for traffic in approximately 90 minutes. These mortars are suitable for a range of structural repair uses including roads, pavements, footpaths, driveways, car parks, industrial floors, loading bays, and concrete kerbs and edges where strong, rapid curing bedding or repair is required.
Ensure the repair area is clean, sound, and free of loose debris, dust, grease, and oil. Remove damaged concrete or loose material and pre-soak the area with clean water to prevent the substrate from absorbing moisture from the mortar.
Mix the dry powder with clean water according to the product instructions to achieve a lump-free, workable consistency. Use a mechanical mixer for best results. Always follow the recommended water-to-powder ratio to ensure optimal strength and durability.
Apply using a trowel, float, or spatula to fill the repair area. Compact the mortar into the void, level the surface, and finish according to the surrounding concrete. For deep repairs, apply in layers if necessary.
Curing times depend on the product and ambient conditions: * M45: Light foot traffic in 2–4 hours, vehicular traffic in 24 hours * M60/M60F: Foot traffic in 1–2 hours, vehicular traffic in 4–6 hours * M90: Foot traffic in 1 hour, vehicular traffic in 2–4 hours
Yes. M60, M60F, and M90 are designed for moderate to heavy traffic. M90, in particular, is ideal for high-traffic industrial and commercial applications.
These are rapid-setting, high-strength, cement-based concrete repair mortars designed for quick repairs to concrete surfaces, highways, pavements, and industrial floors. QC10 and QC10F are fibre-reinforced options for extra durability, while QC6 is ideal for smaller repairs and lighter traffic areas.
Instarmac’s QC10, QC10F, and QC6 are rapid-setting repair mortars for footpaths, pavements, driveways, car parks, kerbs, and industrial floors. QC10 is high-strength and opens to traffic in about 2 hours, while QC10F adds fibres for extra durability and crack resistance. QC6 is a medium-strength, easy-to-use mortar for light-traffic repairs, making all three ideal for fast, long-lasting reinstatement and surface repairs.
QC10 is a fast‑setting, high‑strength concrete ideal for thick section repairs, haunching reinstatements, ironwork backfilling and commercial installations, opening to traffic in about 2 hours and achieving high compressive strength after setting.
QC10F is a fibre‑modified, rapid set flowable concrete that delivers extra durability and reduced shrinkage, making it suitable for backfilling around manhole frames, gullies and surface repairs with traffic access in approximately 90 minutes.
QC6 is a medium‑strength, non‑shrink reinstatement concrete with excellent workability and rapid set time, suitable for surface repair and “picture frame” reinstatements around access covers with traffic access typically within around 4 hours. These mortars are used for reinstating footpaths, pavements, cycle tracks, driveways, car parks, industrial floors, loading bays, concrete edges and kerbs, offering strong, durable solutions for both light and heavy‑duty applications.
To prepare the surface, remove any loose or damaged concrete, dust, grease, and debris, then pre-soak the repair area with clean water to reduce absorption and improve adhesion. Mix the dry QC mortars with clean water according to the product instructions to create a smooth, lump-free consistency, using a mechanical mixer for larger areas. Apply the mortar with a trowel or float, pressing firmly into the repair area. For deep repairs, apply in layers, compacting each layer, and level the surface to match the surrounding concrete for a durable, professional finish.
Ultracrete QC mortars offer rapid strength gain for fast repairs. QC6 can handle light foot traffic in 1–2 hours and vehicular traffic in 12–24 hours, while QC10 and QC10F allow foot traffic in 30–60 minutes and vehicular traffic in 2–4 hours, making them ideal for quick, durable reinstatement of pavements, driveways, and roads.
Yes, QC mortars are suitable for most conditions, though extreme cold, frost, or heavy rain may affect setting times. Follow product guidelines for optimal temperature ranges and curing instructions.
QC10 and QC10F are ideal for moderate to heavy traffic areas. QC6 is better suited for light-duty repairs and pedestrian areas.
Instarmac’s QC mortars are rapid-setting, high-strength concretes for fast, durable repairs. QC10 is ideal for thick reinstatements, QC10F adds fibres for extra toughness, and QC6 suits lighter repairs. All provide quick return-to-traffic times for footpaths, driveways, car parks, and industrial floors.
Store in a dry, cool place, off the ground, and away from moisture. Unopened bags typically have a shelf life of 6–12 months.
