How do I prepare to use UltraScape Prem-Prime?
It is essential that the area on which you'll be installing your patio or paved area is prepared well, in order to ensure easy application and so that your patio lasts as long as possible without further maintenance. Firstly, remove all debris and any ponded water from the supporting structure. Your sub-base and area to receive the paving slabs should be debris free, and any natural stone flags, clay pavers or porcelain tiles you are using should be cleaned by brushing or washing with water to remove any dust, dirt, loose material before applying UltraScape Prem-Prime.How do I mix UltraScape Prem-Prime?
Put 5.95 litres of clean water into a bucket or suitable container. Add the UltraScape Prem-Prime powder from the bucket slowly and mix for approximately 3 to 5 minutes, to create a smooth lump-free, cake batter consistency slurry. The primer can be brushed or roll applied onto the sub-base and on the underside of each paving tile or slab prior to laying, to create a strong, sustainable bond.How do I apply UltraScape Prem-Prime?
All surfaces should be pre-soaked with clean water immediately prior to the application of UltraScape Prem-Prime. The supporting layer should be brush or roller coated with the slurry primer to a thickness of approximately 1mm-2mm immediately before the application of the bedding mortar. The slurry primer should be kept fresh and wet when the fine bedding concrete is laid. The back of the paving flags or slabs should be primed with Prem-Prime to a thickness of 1mm-2mm immediately prior to their placement upon the bedding mortar to achieve a strong bond.About the product
