How do I prepare surfaces for accepting UltraScape Slipbond?
Care must be taken to remove all loose material, debris, dirt, grease, paint and efflorescence from the wall or floor surface prior to applying the cladding adhesive. The concrete, masonry, wall substrate should be thoroughly dampened with water. Any surplus water should be removed prior to starting the application of Slipbond.How do I mix UltraScape Slipbond?
UltraScape SlipBond should be added slowly to 5.2 litres of clean water per 20kg bag and mixed thoroughly. Ideally Slipbond should be mixed with a forced action mixer, for 3 minutes to give a slump free, smooth texture. Once mixed the mortar is immediately ready for use and has a pot life of approximately 2 hours at 20°C. It is important to only mix sufficient adhesive to be used within the pot life, do not remix or re-wet.How do I apply UltraScape Slipbond?
Use a trowel to apply a layer of mortar onto the substrate with sufficient force to ensure a good bond. On large format stone it is advisable to back butter the stone slabs or tiles prior to bedding. Once you have applied the mortar bed, ensure that the stone is applied within 25 minutes. Tools should be cleaned in water immediately after use to remove excess materials.About the product
