Please note: Natural stone varies in levels of porosity, therefore on more porous stone or uneven surfaces the coverage will be less and more product will be required. For less porous stone, such as slate and limestone use our EASYSeal Slate and Limestone sealer and enhancer. EASYSeal Sandstone Sealer & Enhancer is for more porous natural stone.
You may seal paving slabs prior to installation, however if you plan to seal post-installation a minimum of 3 months should be left after the installation of a new driveway or patio before sealing, to ensure that any efflorescence or staining has had time to dissipate.
Rosie M (verified owner) –
This has done a great job on my new patio. It’s multicoloured buff Indian sandstone – the sealant has darkened it but really brought the colours out. There is no shine, just an almost waxy surface feel. I applied with a long pile roller & used a brush for a few fiddly edges. It’s very odd to apply as the 2nd coat has to go on before the first is dry, & it was difficult not to spatter it as it’s a watery consistency. However it hasn’t left any odd marks where it did spatter. I ordered loads too much – on a 51m2 patio I only used about 6 litres despite really soaking it & everywhere got at least 2 if not 3 applications.
