About the product

UltraScape Flowpoint Premium Smooth Paving Grout - Stone Grey

UltraScape Flowpoint Premium Smooth Paving Grout in Stone Grey is a rapid set, slurry grout that is ideal for jointing all types of paving slabs and setts from just 3mm. It’s perfect for use with granite setts, sandstone, limestone, Indian Stone, Yorkstone, clay, concrete slabs - and particularly porcelain where a finer aggregate finish is required. Flowpoint Premium Smooth can fill joints from 3mm - 50mm wide, with a minimum depth of 20mm, up to 200mm in one application!

Flowpoint Premium Smooth comes in two new colours to the Flowpoint range; Stone Grey & Limestone. Available in a handy showerproof 25KG bag, simple to mix, you just add 4.25 litres of clean water to a bucket, add the powder, and mix for between three to five minutes until a smooth lump-free consistency has been achieved. Flowpoint Premium Smooth will reach its initial set in just thirty minutes, and will accept light foot traffic after one hour, and vehicular traffic after four hours.

To apply Flowpoint Premium Smooth Paving Grout, paving slabs should be free from debris & ponded water. The paving surface & joints should be pre-soaked & kept lightly damp with a consistent light spray of water, until the jointing process has been completed. The grout is then simply poured over the paving slabs, carefully pushed into the joints with a neoprene squeegee, then washed off once it has hardened sufficiently.

For peace of mind, Ultrascape Flowpoint Premium exceeds all the requirements of the latest British Standard BS 7533. Flowpoint has been widely used over the last 20 years for a variety of projects including public realm, landscaping, streetscape projects and many non-commercial domestic patios and gardens. UltraScape Flowpoint is known and loved because it’s fast to apply, cost effective and produces solid robust joints - it is manufactured to last up to 40 years!

How to Mix & Apply Flowpoint Premium Smooth Paving Grout

Follow these simple steps to fill your paving joints with Flowpoint Premium Smooth slurry grout:

  1. Clean the paving slabs and joints so they are free from debris and excess water.
  2. Pre-soak the paving joints and surfaces with a light spray of water so they are damp but not flooded.
  3. Pour one bag of Flowpoint Premium Smooth powder into a bucket and add 4.25 litres of clean water.
  4. Mix with a force-action mixer for 3–5 minutes until smooth and lump-free.
  5. Ensure the area is still damp, then immediately push the slurry into the joints using a rubber squeegee. Note: Flowpoint can start setting in as little as 15 minutes at 20°C, so work efficiently but carefully.
  6. Move the slurry across the surface to top-up joints where the mortar may have sunk.
  7. Use a rubber squeegee to remove excess grout from the surface, keeping the slabs damp to prevent premature hardening.
  8. Use a brush with plenty of water (or a sponge/pressure washer) to remove any hardened grout from the paving surfaces.
  9. Once the mortar is dry (approx. 30 minutes, depending on temperature), clean the slabs thoroughly to prevent staining. The water should run off cleanly.
  10. The patio is ready to walk on after one hour and can take vehicle traffic after four hours.
Flowpoint Premium Paving Grout from Ultrascape is a rapid-set, cement-based grout engineered for natural stone, porcelain slabs, concrete flags, and granite setts. Its highly flowable consistency ensures joints are completely filled, delivering a strong, durable finish with a lifespan of 30–40 years. Fully BS 7533 compliant, Flowpoint is suitable for both domestic and commercial paving projects. It is available in specialist grades—Standard, Smooth, and Porcelpoint—tailored to different joint widths, depths, and surface finishes. For optimal results, pre-seal paving slabs with a temporary pre-grout sealer to reduce the risk of staining and efflorescence. Mix Flowpoint Premium to a smooth, pourable consistency and apply while surfaces are damp using a squeegee. Once the grout is touch-dry (typically 15–30 minutes), clean the surface using a Berta Sponge Machine or Pedalo. Flowpoint accommodates joint widths from 2–50 mm and depths of 20–200 mm, providing a long-lasting, stain-resistant, professional finish ideal for patios, driveways, and commercial paving schemes.
