How to Mix & Apply Flowpoint Premium Paving Grout
- Ensure paving slabs and joints are clean, free from debris, and without standing water.
- Pre-soak slabs and joints so they are damp (not flooded). Remove excess water using a leaf blower if needed.
- Pour one full bag into a bucket with 4.25 litres of clean water.
- Mix thoroughly for 3–5 minutes until smooth and lump-free (≈3 mins in warm weather, ≈5 mins in cold).
-
Keep the area lightly damp and apply immediately using a neoprene squeegee, pushing grout firmly into joints.
Note: Initial set can occur in as little as 15 minutes at 20°C—monitor closely. Grout should be firm before cleaning. Do not leave for extended periods. - Top up joints as needed by moving excess grout across the surface.
- Use a neoprene squeegee to remove excess grout, keeping the surface lightly misted to prevent premature drying.
- Carry out the initial clean after 20–30 minutes (faster in warm weather, slower in cold) using a washboy, brush and water, or a pressure washer/sponge machine.
- Once joints are set (approx. 30 minutes), complete a final clean to remove grout residue and prevent staining.
- Ready for light foot traffic after 1 hour and vehicular traffic after 4 hours.
