Preparation and application
- Leave newly laid paving for a minimum of 8 weeks so moisture within the paving can dissipate before sealing.
- Make sure the substrate is sound, clean and completely dry. Remove dirt, dust, oil and other contaminants. We recommend PaveCare Paving & Driveway Cleaner before application.
- Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on natural stone or very light paving.
- PRO-810 is supplied ready to use. Apply a complete, even coat by brush, roller or spray, then remove any excess.
- Apply at a paving surface temperature between 5°C and 25°C. A further thin, even coat can be applied for increased protection.
- Allow approximately 2 hours to dry and up to 24 hours for full curing. Protect the area from rain and moisture until fully cured.

PRO-810 is the solvent-based option for porous natural stone and concrete. PRO-820 ECO is the water-based option of the two and is the relevant choice for porcelain. Both are designed to provide breathable protection with an invisible finish. Contact us if you are unsure which formulation suits your paving.
Preparation and application
- Leave newly laid paving for a minimum of 8 weeks so moisture within the paving can dissipate before sealing.
- Make sure the substrate is sound, clean and completely dry. Remove dirt, dust, oil and other contaminants. We recommend PaveCare Paving & Driveway Cleaner before application.
- Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on natural stone or very light paving.
- PRO-810 is supplied ready to use. Apply a complete, even coat by brush, roller or spray, then remove any excess.
- Apply at a paving surface temperature between 5°C and 25°C. A further thin, even coat can be applied for increased protection.
- Allow approximately 2 hours to dry and up to 24 hours for full curing. Protect the area from rain and moisture until fully cured.

What is the difference between PRO-810 and PRO-820 ECO?
PRO-810 is solvent-based, while PRO-820 ECO is water-based. PRO-810 is intended for porous natural stone and concrete, with approximately 7–12m² coverage per litre. PRO-820 ECO is suitable for porcelain, natural stone and concrete, with coverage of up to 15m² per litre on natural stone and up to 30m² per litre on porcelain.
Which sealer should I use on porcelain?
Of these two products, PRO-820 ECO is the appropriate choice for porcelain. PRO-810 is not designed for porcelain paving.
Can PRO-810 be used on natural stone?
Yes. PRO-810 is designed for porous natural stone and concrete, particularly high-quality natural stone. It deeply impregnates the stone while maintaining a breathable, invisible finish.
Will PRO-810 change the appearance of my paving?
PRO-810 is designed not to change the colour or texture of the surface. It may very slightly darken very light or grey paving, so always test a small, inconspicuous area first.
Are PRO-810 and PRO-820 ECO breathable?
Yes. Both are designed to provide protection while remaining breathable, allowing moisture vapour to escape from the paving.
How should I prepare paving before applying PRO-810?
The paving should be sound, clean and completely dry, with dirt, dust, oil and other contaminants removed. Clean the area thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before application.
How should PRO-810 be applied?
PRO-810 is supplied ready to use and can be applied by brush, roller or spray. Apply a complete, even coat, remove excess and apply a further thin, even coat if increased protection is required.
What temperature should PRO-810 be applied at?
Apply PRO-810 when the paving surface temperature is between 5°C and 25°C. The paving must be completely dry and protected from rain and moisture while curing.
How long does PRO-810 take to dry and cure?
It will normally be dry within approximately 2 hours, with full curing taking up to 24 hours. Protect the area from rain until fully cured.
How much PRO-810 will I need?
PRO-810 covers approximately 7–12m² per litre, depending on the porosity of the substrate. More porous stone will generally require more product.
Does PRO-810 protect against algae and dirt?
Yes. PRO-810 is designed to resist dirt, grime and algae while providing protection against water penetration, staining and natural weathering.
Can PRO-810 or PRO-820 ECO be used as a pre-grout sealer?
No. Neither should replace a dedicated pre-grout sealer. If you are protecting paving before applying resin jointing compound, use the appropriate ProJoint Pre-Grout Sealer.
Which product is better for a contractor?
It depends on the paving and the application. PRO-810 provides a solvent-based option for porous natural stone or concrete. PRO-820 ECO provides a water-based option for porcelain, natural stone or concrete. Do not choose based only on the product number.
Which one should I use at home?
For porcelain, PRO-820 ECO is the relevant option of the two. For porous natural stone, either may be suitable depending on your preference for a solvent-based or water-based sealer and the requirements of the project.
Do I need to test the sealer first?
Yes, always test on a small, inconspicuous area before treating the entire surface. Natural stone varies in porosity and appearance.
What sizes are available?
PRO-810 is available in 5 litre, 25 litre and 12 x 1 litre options. Please check the current product listing for the pack you need.
