Instant Road Repair 6mm Technical Details:
• Suitable for permanent pothole repairs
• Can be used in all weathers – even in the rain
• Recommended for use with SCJ Seal and Tack spray for a permanent repair
• Depth: 15 – 100mm
• Resealable buckets – so no waste
• Approved for use on the London Underground and Overground
• Satisfactory for use as a PCSM in accordance with Appendix A2.4 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 : Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH)
• Size: 25kg plastic bucket (bags available)
• NBS Plus registered for ease of specification
• Shelf Life: 6 months from date of manufacture in sealed units. Once opened, all material should be used up. (DOM usually found on the lid or side of tub or bag. For queries, please contact us).
How do I apply Instant Road Repair 6mm for first time permanent repairs?
- Saw cut a ‘picture frame’ around the repair or reinstatement area.
- Ensure the area is clear of debris.
- Seal vertical edges and substrate with UltraCrete SCJ. Reinstatements requiring up to 60mm in depth can be achieved by using the layer-on-layer method.
- Apply the product to a depth of approximately 45mm and compact to 30mm in order to achieve your first layer.
- Re-apply SCJ Edge Sealant to vertical edges before a second layer of Instant Road Repair 6mm is applied.
- Repeat step 4 to achieve the 60mm depth.
Please note: All compaction should be carried out in accordance with Appendix 8 of the SROH 2010. If over-banding is required, apply UltraCrete Instaband ECO.
