About the product

Lithofin Stainstop PLUS Impregnator & Colour Intensifier

Lithofin Stainstop PLUS sinks into natural stone and reduces the absorbency so water, oil and grease can no longer penetrate the surface. These materials remain on the surface and can be wiped off before they cause any stains.

In addition to protecting the stone, Lithofin Stainstop PLUS deepens and intensifies the colour of your kitchen worktop, tiles or slabs.

Lithofin Stainstop PLUS is ideal for making absorbent ceramic, terracotta, natural and engineered stone surfaces stain resistant and at the same time intensifying their colour structure.

Highly suitable for weak to medium absorbent natural stones like granite, gneiss, quartzite, slate and limestone with rough to honed surfaces. Also suitable for polished stones. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Please Note: Impregnated surfaces cannot be treated. Marble and limestone can still be sensitive to acid.

Lithofin Stainstop PLUS can be used on:

  • All Types of Natural Stone
  • Granite
  • Gneiss
  • Quartzite

How to apply Lithofin Stainstop PLUS

  • Always test the product in an inconspicuous area prior to application.
  • The surface to be treated must be completely dry, clean and free of stains.
  • Apply Lithofin Stainstop PLUS with a brush, a roller or a cloth. The surface should be uniformly wet.
  • On very absorbent surfaces, this procedure may have to be repeated within five minutes.
  • The liquid product must penetrate into the surface.
  • Rough surfaces: residues and foam should be evenly distributed before drying, but not completely dried off. Surface should appear wet.
  • Polished surfaces: carefully wipe product off, do not allow residues to dry.
  • On large areas, remove the product residues with a squeegee and buff the surface with a machine and a white pad.
  • If product has started to dry, put some Lithofin Stainstop PLUS and wipe the surface.
All surfaces: Check all surfaces for a uniform appearance, if necessary immediately apply more Lithofin Stainstop PLUS. The product can not be removed once dry. Please Note: Always test the product prior to use. Some stones absorb unevenly which may result in a cloudy appearance. Glass, polishes, plastics, varnish and other surfaces sensitive to solvents must be protected against splashes. Non-absorbent and wet surfaces can not be impregnated. Marble and limestone remain sensitive to acid.
Grout haze and efflorescence remover is a specialist cleaning product designed to remove the white, powdery residue left on tiles and stone surfaces after grouting. Grout haze forms when excess cement or grout dries on the surface, leaving a thin film, while efflorescence occurs when salts from the substrate or grout migrate to the surface and crystallise. These removers are usually acidic or alkaline solutions, formulated to safely dissolve and lift these deposits without damaging the tile, stone, or grout, restoring clean, polished joints and paving.
