UltraScape Flowpoint Premium Standard Paving Grout Yorkstone | Full Pallet 56 x 25kg Bags | Free Delivery
About the product
Flowpoint Premium Standard Yorkstone is a rapid-setting slurry paving grout that we particularly recommend for natural stone paving and granite setts. Its warm buff tone works well with Yorkstone flags, Cotswold Stone, sandstone and other warm-toned natural stone. It also suits concrete, clay and porcelain paving with joints 5–50mm wide and 20–200mm deep.
This full pallet gives you 56 x 25kg bags, or 1,400kg of grout. If you've got a larger patio, landscaping or commercial paving job lined up, it's a handy way to get the material delivered together and have bags ready as you work.
- BS 7533 compliant, shrinkage compensated and non-permeable.
- Initial set typically 15–30 minutes at 20°C; foot traffic after approximately 1 hour and vehicles after 4 hours.
- For porcelain joints below 5mm, take a look at Premium Smooth, which starts at 3mm.
As a rough guide, one bag covers 12–20m² on mixed natural stone packs or 1.5–2m² on granite setts. Your paving dimensions and joint width and depth determine the actual amount. The calculator estimates individual bags; divide by 56 and round up if you're buying full pallets.
Use our neoprene squeegee & 3 section pole bundle for application. A compatible temporary pre-sealer can help protect sensitive paving; always try a small area first. You'll find more in the technical datasheet and Flowpoint FAQs. Or call 0330 122 1025 if you'd like a hand checking the colour or quantity.
Free standard 3–5 working day delivery to England, Wales and the main areas of Scotland. Some Scottish delivery areas may carry an extra charge; we'll contact you if this applies. Please let us know about restricted access before ordering. Smaller-lorry delivery may cost extra.

Compatibility and safety
Suitable for Yorkstone, Cotswold Stone, buff sandstone, Indian Stone, pale limestone, granite setts, clay, concrete and porcelain with joints from 5mm. Dark limestone and sensitive surfaces need a compatibility trial and a suitable protective approach. A temporary pre-sealer can help but does not guarantee protection from every staining or oxidation risk.
Contains cement. Wear gloves and eye protection, avoid skin contact, wash exposed skin and keep away from children. Wet cement can cause serious burns. Do not use beyond the declared storage period; this can increase allergic-reaction risk. Safety Data Sheet available on request.

Mixing and applying Flowpoint Premium Standard Yorkstone
A pallet contains 56 separate 25kg bags. Plan manageable sections and mix small batches, not the whole pallet. Keep waste slurry away from drains: it will set and cause a permanent blockage.
1. Prepare the paving
Use a suitable rigid, impermeable bed with adequate drainage falls. Allow bedding mortar to cure properly. Clean joints, remove loose material and check that joints are 5–50mm wide and 20–200mm deep.
Without a temporary pre-sealer: thoroughly pre-soak paving and joints, then remove standing or ponded water with a leaf blower. Keep the surface damp, not waterlogged, using a gentle mist as you work.
With a temporary pre-sealer: use a compatible product such as Tile Rite Patio Prep or Nexus ProJoint Pre-Grout. Trial first and follow that sealer's preparation, drying and water-use instructions. Remove standing water from joints. A pre-sealer is not a guarantee against every staining or oxidation risk.
2. Mix
- Measure 4.25 litres of clean water per 25kg bag into a clean vessel.
- Gradually add powder and paddle-mix for 3–5 minutes until smooth and lump-free.
- Apply promptly in small batches, following the current bag's working-time instructions. Initial set is not the same as usable working time.
- Never store mixed mortar, retemper or add extra water once mixed.
3. Fill and clean down
- Pour onto the paving and work fully into joints with a neoprene squeegee & 3 section pole.
- Top up any joints where the mortar settles. Remove as much surface excess as possible.
- Maintain surface conditions appropriate to the preparation method. Do not allow slurry to dry onto the paving.
- Check joint firmness with the thumb test before washing. Do not wash out soft joints.
- Once firm, clean thoroughly with a brush and plenty of clean water, removing all surface residue. Wash tools frequently and collect excess slurry safely.
4. Trafficking, weather and storage
At 20°C, allow approximately 1 hour for foot traffic and 4 hours for vehicles. Warm conditions accelerate setting; cold conditions slow it. Avoid direct sunlight, temperatures below 3°C or frost expected within 24 hours. Light rain is acceptable but joints must not hold standing water.
Wear gloves, eye protection and suitable PPE. Wet cement can cause serious burns. Store unopened bags cool, dry and frost-free, between 5°C and 30°C; shelf life is 8 months from manufacture. Showerproof packaging is not a substitute for protected storage.

Flowpoint Premium Standard Yorkstone paving grout, full pallet of 56 x 25kg bags
UltraScape Flowpoint Premium Standard Yorkstone is a rapid-set slurry paving grout that we particularly recommend for natural stone paving and granite setts. It flows readily into the joints, helping you fill them fully for a rigid, bound, void-free finish. Its quick set helps you get paved areas back into use sooner too. The warm buff colour works particularly well with Yorkstone flags, Cotswold Stone and warm-toned sandstone. You can also use it with concrete flags and clay pavers on a suitable rigid construction.
Supplied as a full pallet of 56 x 25kg bags, it gives you 1,400kg of grout for larger paving jobs. Ordering a full pallet means you can get the grout you need delivered together and have bags ready as the job moves along, rather than having to order more halfway through. It's a handy option for bigger natural stone paving and granite sett jobs, from courtyards and pathways to town-centre paving and carriageways.
Flowpoint Premium Standard conforms to BS 7533 and suits joints 5–50mm wide and 20–200mm deep. Initial set is approximately 30 minutes at 20°C, with light foot traffic after approximately 1 hour. It is non-permeable and needs a suitable rigid, impermeable bed with adequate drainage falls.
We're a small, family-run business. I'm Cleo, the owner, with over 25 years in construction working with businesses including Tarmac and Instarmac. I work alongside a knowledgeable, caring team. If you like Flowpoint's slurry application but want a warmer joint to go with your stone, Yorkstone is worth a look. We're happy to help you check the colour and quantity before you order.
Why choose the Yorkstone colour?
Yorkstone is a warm buff tone that works particularly well with Yorkstone flags, Cotswold Stone, buff sandstone, Indian Stone and pale natural stone. Choose it when you want the joints to sit comfortably alongside golden, honey or sandy tones rather than introduce a cooler grey. We'd suggest checking a sample against your actual paving before committing to a full pallet, as screen colours are only a guide.
For a lighter cream-toned finish, consider Premium Limestone. For contemporary grey paving and mixed light/dark natural stone, consider Premium Stone Grey. Need less material? Our single 25kg Yorkstone bags let you order a smaller quantity or top up a job.
When a full pallet makes sense
A full pallet is worth considering for larger natural stone patios, commercial landscaping, paved courtyards and granite sett jobs. The grout also works with suitable clay pavers, concrete slabs and porcelain where joints are at least 5mm wide. Granite setts use considerably more grout than large slabs because there's more joint space to fill. Check the quantity against your actual layout rather than ordering from area alone.
- Pour and work the slurry across the paved area, rather than pointing every joint individually.
- Rapid initial set, typically 15–30 minutes at 20°C. Check the joints are firm enough before clean-down.
- Foot traffic after approximately 1 hour and vehicles after 4 hours at 20°C.
- Strong, shrinkage-compensated cementitious joints, with a service life of up to 40 years when correctly installed.
- Supplied dry and pre-mixed: just add the measured clean water on site.
- You can apply it in light rain, provided joints don't hold standing water.
Approximate coverage: bags and pallets
| Paving type | One 25kg bag | 56 bags, a rough guide only |
|---|---|---|
| Natural stone mixed packs | 12–20m² | 672–1,120m² |
| Granite setts | 1.5–2m² | 84–112m² |
The pallet figures simply multiply the bag guide by 56; they aren't guaranteed coverage. Slab dimensions, joint width and depth, surface texture and wastage all affect how much you'll need. Use the calculator with your own paving measurements. It estimates individual 25kg bags: divide by 56 and round up if you're buying full pallets. If you need 60 bags, for example, you could order one pallet plus four single bags, or two pallets if you've got other work lined up within the shelf life.
Standard, Smooth or Fine?
| Grade | Colours | Joint width | Joint depth |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flowpoint Standard | Natural Grey, Charcoal | 5–50mm | 20–200mm |
| Premium Standard, this listing | Yorkstone, Limestone, Stone Grey | 5–50mm | 20–200mm |
| Flowpoint ECO | Natural Grey, Charcoal | 5–50mm | 20–200mm |
| Flowpoint Smooth | Natural Grey, Charcoal | 3–50mm | 20–200mm |
| Premium Smooth | Yorkstone, Limestone, Stone Grey | 3–50mm | 20–200mm |
| Flowpoint Fine | Natural Grey, Charcoal | 2–50mm | 20–200mm |
| Porcelpoint | Stone Grey, Limestone | 2–50mm | 20–200mm |
This is Premium Standard, not Premium Smooth. For Yorkstone joints between 3mm and 5mm, take a look at Premium Smooth Yorkstone. If you want a fine finish with no visible aggregate, look at the Fine or Porcelpoint ranges in their available colours. Standard has a different texture, so it's worth checking the finish as well as the joint sizes.
Pre-sealing and sensitive stone
We recommend a small trial first on porous paving, dark limestone and other sensitive surfaces. Tile Rite Patio Prep and Nexus ProJoint temporary pre-sealer can provide a protective barrier and help with clean-down, but they can't guarantee against every staining or oxidation risk. Follow your chosen sealer's instructions and try the complete process on your stone first. If you'd like a hand choosing an approach, send us a photo or get in touch.
How to use Flowpoint Premium Standard Yorkstone
- Check the paving is on a suitable cured, rigid impermeable bed, with drainage falls. Clean the joints and remove debris.
- Without a pre-sealer, thoroughly pre-soak the paving and joints, then remove all standing water. Keep the surface damp, not flooded. With a pre-sealer, trial first and follow its preparation, drying and water-use instructions.
- Add 4.25 litres of clean water per 25kg bag, then add the powder and paddle-mix for 3–5 minutes until smooth.
- Only mix what your team can place within the working time on the current bag instructions, and apply promptly. Initial set isn't the same as working time. Don't remix or add extra water once mixed.
- Work the slurry firmly into the joints using a neoprene squeegee & 3 section pole bundle. Top up joints where the grout settles and remove excess from the surface.
- Check the joints are firm with the thumb test before washing. Clean thoroughly with a brush and plenty of clean water; don't leave mortar on the paving.
Have somewhere safe ready for waste slurry. Never push it into drains, where it can set and cause a permanent blockage. Wear appropriate PPE: wet cement can cause serious burns. Avoid direct sunlight, temperatures below 3°C and frost expected within 24 hours.
Practical advice from contractors
Gareth Wilson, hard landscaping expert and RHS award winner, stresses the importance of waiting for the joint to become firm before washing: “Always make sure Flowpoint is set in the joint before washing it off. Keep your eye on the firmness of the joint, just with a little thumb test. Once firm, then begin washing off.”
Jordan Clayton, owner of Next Level Landscapes Ltd., says: “Flowpoint is our go-to product when it comes to jointing all our paving. Like the rest of the materials, I love how it gives me confidence that the products will stand the test of time, allowing homeowners to enjoy their garden for years to come.” Courtesy of Instarmac Group Plc.
Common Flowpoint questions and misconceptions
| Question | Practical answer |
|---|---|
| Is Flowpoint new? | The range has a long history across domestic, commercial and public-realm paving. Premium refers to the additional colour palette. |
| Do I need specialist equipment? | A paddle mixer and long-handled neoprene squeegee are the main additions to ordinary paving tools. |
| Will it set instantly on the pavers? | No, but it is rapid setting. Prepare properly, work in manageable sections and don't let slurry dry onto the surface. |
| Why do joints wash out or develop low spots? | Washing before the joint is firm can remove material. Use the thumb test rather than judging surface appearance alone. |
| Does it suit every stone? | Not every stone or finish behaves the same way. Sensitive and dark limestone surfaces need a trial and suitable protection. |
| Can efflorescence occur? | Installation conditions, bedding and excess water can contribute to deposits or colour variation. Use a properly cured bed and measured mixing water. |
| Should the paving be saturated throughout? | No. Without a pre-sealer, keep it damp after pre-soaking and clearing standing water, not flooded. |
| Must every bed wait exactly 28 days? | Follow the bedding product's curing requirements and allow for site conditions, rather than using one waiting period for every job. |
Frequently asked questions
I'm Cleo, owner of The Paving Experts. These are the questions our small team helps customers with about colour matching, quantities and application. If there's something else you'd like to check, just ask.
What is Flowpoint Premium, and how does it differ from ordinary Standard?
It's a rapid-setting, flowable cementitious paving grout in Yorkstone, Limestone and Stone Grey. Premium Standard starts at 5mm joints, like ordinary Standard, which comes in Natural Grey and Charcoal.
Why choose Yorkstone rather than Limestone or Stone Grey?
Yorkstone brings a warm golden-buff tone to Yorkstone flags, Cotswold Stone and warm sandstone. Limestone is lighter and creamier; Stone Grey gives a cooler contemporary grey. Try a sample against the paving rather than relying on a screen.
Can I use it on black limestone?
Some dark limestones are sensitive to cementitious grout and can stain or oxidise. Try the stone with a compatible temporary pre-sealer and the complete application process first. The sealer helps protect the surface but doesn't remove every risk. If you'd like to talk through your paving, we're happy to help.
How long can it last?
Up to 40 years with correct installation and suitable site conditions. Good preparation, bedding and drainage all help you get the best from it.
How quickly does it set?
Typically 15–30 minutes to initial set at 20°C, with foot traffic after about 1 hour and vehicles after 4 hours. Initial set isn't the time you have to mix and place the grout. Follow the current bag's working-time instructions and check joint firmness before clean-down.
Is Premium Standard permeable?
No. It forms a rigid, non-permeable joint and needs a suitable impermeable bed and surface drainage falls.
Can I use it in rain?
Light rain is fine, but clear standing water from the joints first. Avoid conditions that flood the work or make proper clean-down difficult.
Should I pre-seal before grouting?
A compatible temporary pre-sealer can be useful on porous or sensitive stone. Follow its instructions, including water-use requirements, and try a small area first. Without a pre-sealer, pre-soak, remove ponded water and keep the paving damp while working.
What is the shelf life, especially on phased jobs?
Eight months from manufacture, not delivery, in unopened sealed bags stored cool, dry and frost-free, between 5°C and 30°C. Check bag dates if you're setting material aside for later work, and keep the pallet protected from prolonged rain and ground moisture. The bags are showerproof, but they still need proper cover in storage.
How many bags or pallets do I need?
Use your paving size, joint width and depth in the calculator. One bag may cover roughly 12–20m² on mixed natural stone or 1.5–2m² on granite setts, but the amount varies with the job. Divide the bag estimate by 56 for pallets. If you'd like a second check, send us your measurements.
Is this suitable for porcelain?
Yes, where joints are 5–50mm wide and 20–200mm deep and the paving construction is suitable. For narrower joints from 3mm, use Premium Smooth. If you're after a finish with no visible aggregate, take a look at Fine or Porcelpoint in their available colours.
Can I buy everything for one larger project together?
Yes, a full pallet lets you get the grout delivered together and have bags ready as work moves along. Check batch identification and colour consistency before starting. If the job is spread over several stages, plan storage and how much your team can get through within the shelf life. Keep each mixing batch within the working time.
What delivery is included?
Free standard 3–5 working day delivery to England, Wales and the main areas of Scotland. Some Scottish delivery areas may carry an extra charge; we'll contact you if this applies. Please let us know about restricted access before ordering, as smaller-lorry delivery may cost extra.

Pallet delivery
Free standard 3–5 working day delivery to England, Wales and the main areas of Scotland. Some Scottish delivery areas may carry an extra charge; we will contact you if applicable. Restricted access must be notified before ordering. Smaller-lorry delivery may cost extra.
