About the product

The VERY BEST Neoprene Squeegee & 3 Section Pole for Paving Grout

This is the best paving tool squeegee for expertly applying a wide range of professional cement based slurry and epoxy paving grouts! Choose from a 450, 550, or 750mm squeegee head, combined with space saving 3- section aluminium pole, that collapses for easy transport. Ideal for applying Nexus Pro-Joint Titan, Joint-It Dynamic, Flowpoint, Fuga Pave & Larsen FJM as well as other cementitious paving slurry grouts to patios!

Why is a neoprene squeegee the best? Cheap rubber squeegees bounce off the surface of your paving slabs and their hard texture doesn't get into all of the riven undulations on the surface of the slabs, whereas a neoprene squeegee is more pliable by nature and will easily lift the paving grout off the surface of the slabs into the joints. Using a neoprene squeegee makes the job of cleaning up slurry grouts much faster, saving time and effort!

Neoprene Squeegees are available in 3 different sizes:

  • 450mm Squeegee Head & Reusable Pole
  • 550mm Squeegee Head & Reusable Pole
  • 750mm Squeegee Head & Reusable Pole
  • Comes supplied with a 1400mm long heavy duty aluminium squeegee handle - conveniently supplied in 3x sections.Compact mop handle “knocked down” for shipping convenience
    • Lightweight and solid with ergonomic grip
    • 3-sections knock down, for better transport
    • Heavy duty, neoprene squeegee head
    • 23 mm Diameter | 4.5'/1.4m Length
    • Silver/Grey
    • Aluminium/Plastic

How do I use a Neoprene Paving Grout Squeegee?

Although the Neoprene Squeegee is mostly used for cleaning off grout residue, it’s also very effective at applying slurry grout to paving stones, slabs and setts.

How to apply slurry grout with a Neoprene Paving Grout Squeegee!

After pouring slurry grout onto the pavers, use the neoprene squeegee to push the grout back and forth, ensuring the grout settles evenly into all the nooks and crannies. Then clean off the slurry grout and residue with a power washer or a hose to clean-away the dirt and grime from the slab surfaces. After that, use the neoprene squeegee to clear the water, dirt and residue from the surfaces. You can move the tool back and forth, and also side to side, to wipe away the residue. Be sure to clean the squeegee blade thoroughly after every use, it'll then be ready the next time you want to use it. Looked after and cleaned thoroughly, your squeegee head should be useable once again. Remember to always follow the manufacturer’s grouting instructions when cleaning off grout.

Adam Gould, owner of Terrafirma landscaping company, explains why his team wouldn’t use anything other than Neoprene.

“We’ve used hard rubber squeegees for years and they bounce off your slabs, these neoprene squeegees are great because they allow you to remove most of the grout from your paving and make wash off & clean up easy. The aluminium handles are strong too – when compared to old wooden broom stales. Mint product!” Adam Gould, Owner, Terrafirma

What are the benefits of a Neoprene Squeegee, compared to rubber?

So what’s all the fuss about Neoprene? Here are some of the main benefits:

  • Made from strong and durable Neoprene rubber
  • Reistant to oil, petroleum, grease and water
  • Reistant to most commmon chemicals and polymers found in cement & epoxy based grouts
  • Abrasion resistant
  • Incredible buoyancy
  • Does not react with most of the common oils and chemicals
  • Ideal for commercial and industrial uses
  • Long aluminium pole handle (1,400mm) for easy use, which comes in three sections
  • Choice of blade sizes: 450mm, 550mm and 750mm

A Neoprene Squeegee is a superior tool compared with rubber squeegees!

Made from a blend of Neoprene (polychloroprene), foam and rubber, the Neoprene squeegee is a far superior grouting tool to a standard rubber squeegee. Whereas a rubber squeegee can 'bounce' across the tiles, the Neoprene distributes grout evenly and consistently, spreading grout into the smallest of spaces, and for clean up, it cleans twice the amount of grout off your slabs, saving additional time at wash-off stage. Our landscapers say it is the most efficient grout-application tool available.
