Whether you're jointing granite setts across a large driveway, a town centre scheme or a commercial courtyard, 56 bags of Flowpoint gives you the volume to work efficiently without interruption. And with free standard delivery included, it arrives ready to go.
BS 7533 compliant, sets in 15 minutes at 20°C, joints from 5–50mm wide and 20–200mm deep, open to vehicles in 4 hours, supplied in 25kg showerproof bags on a shrinkwrapped pallet — UltraScape Flowpoint is a professional-strength flowable paving grout built for the demands of large-scale work, whether that’s a landscaping contractor’s next project or a homeowner ordering at scale for a granite sett driveway.
We’re a small, family-run business — I’m Cleo, the owner, with over 25 years in the construction industry working with businesses including Tarmac and Instarmac. I work alongside a team of incredibly knowledgeable and caring people, and between us we’ve specified and supplied Flowpoint on everything from modest domestic driveways to major public realm schemes. At pallet quantities, it’s almost always landscaping contractors or serious self-builders — and Flowpoint is a product we’d back completely for both.
Flowpoint Standard Natural Grey is the grade we’d confidently recommend for granite setts, sandstone, limestone, porcelain, Indian Stone, Yorkstone, clay pavers and concrete slabs. If you’re working with darker limestones, use a temporary pre-sealer such as Tile Rite Patio Prep before grouting — it eliminates the risk of oxidisation and makes Flowpoint viable across a far wider range of stone. If you’re unsure, read our black limestone guide or give us a call.
UltraScape Flowpoint Natural Grey is a fast-curing, flowable, cement-based paving grout designed for jointing all types of external paving — from domestic patios and granite sett driveways to large commercial and public realm schemes. Mixed with water on site, it produces a fluid slurry that is poured across the paving surface, worked into the joints with a neoprene squeegee, and cleaned down to leave strong, durable, weed-resistant joints. Compared to traditional hand-pointing, it is dramatically faster to apply and far less labour-intensive — making it the go-to choice for contractors who need to move quickly without compromising on quality. A full pallet of 56 bags covers substantial areas and is delivered free to your site on a shrinkwrapped pallet.
What Do Industry Experts Say About Flowpoint?
Flowpoint Standard has been the backbone of the Flowpoint range for over 30 years. We asked Gareth Wilson, one of the UK’s most respected hard landscaping experts, for his view.
Gareth has 30 years in the landscaping trade, 30 Royal Horticultural Show (RHS) awards for show garden construction, and now works as an expert witness in hard landscaping:
GARETH WILSON — Hard Landscaping Expert & RHS Award Winner
“Some landscapers are stuck in their ways and they don’t like change. Their attitude is, ‘I’ve been doing this for 20 years… Why should I change now?’ And some are quite rightly scared when they consider pouring Flowpoint onto their slabs — at the end of the day, you are pouring a cementitious slurry directly onto the pavers. It goes against everything that you’ve been taught. But Flowpoint has been developed so it doesn’t stick to the paving.“In addition to its British Standard rating and the strength of the product, it’s also the speed at which you can install it. If you’re going to be on your hands and knees with a trowel and a three-to-one mortar mix, it will take you about five times as long to install, compared with using Flowpoint. Flowpoint is just so easy and quick to install that it makes you money. It’s a well-priced product and, in my view, a landscaper’s friend. Ultimately, it means less time on the job and more profit in your pocket.”
Approved for Use on the London Underground & Overground
Flowpoint is approved for use on the London Underground and London Overground and is NBS Source registered for ease of specification — making it a natural choice for architects, specifiers and contractors working on public realm and commercial projects at any scale.

JORDAN CLAYTON
“Flowpoint is our go-to product when it comes to jointing all our paving. Like the rest of the materials, I love how it gives me confidence that the products will stand the test of time, allowing homeowners to enjoy their garden for years to come.”

DAVID SWALLOW — Domestic Customer, Scotland • ★★★★★ Google Review
“Every year I was repairing old grout and decided to renovate my patio completely. Decided on Flowpoint Natural Grey Standard — didn’t want a porous grout! Removed all old grout with an angle grinder and chisels, and treated the pavers with Black Spot Remover. With temperatures of 6–9°C, I went ahead and started the slurry grouting procedure using 2-bag mixes before clean-up, 8 bags in total. Very pleased with the results. Flowpoint is obviously a high quality product which does ‘what it says on the tin’. The Paving Experts provided a very good service — excellent delivery on pallet, prompt, very competitive on price, and delivered to me in Scotland with no problem. Would definitely use them again. Happy grouting!”
Common Flowpoint Myths — Busted
| Myth | The Truth |
|---|---|
| Myth #1: Flowpoint is a new product | Flowpoint has been in use for over 25 years and specified on thousands of projects worldwide — from New Zealand to Norway, America to Dubai. The range has grown consistently with Standard, Smooth, ECO, Fine and Premium grades. |
| Myth #2: You need specialist equipment | The only kit you need beyond standard paving tools is a paddle mixer and a long-handled neoprene squeegee. Everything else — buckets, extension leads, cleaning tools — you likely already have on site. |
| Myth #3: It’s only for experienced contractors | Flowpoint is straightforward once you’ve seen it done. Watch a demonstration, follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and do a small trial area first. Most contractors are confident after their first job. |
| Myth #4: Flowpoint sticks permanently to pavers | It doesn’t set instantly — keep the surface damp and time your work around the weather. In warm conditions, work during cooler parts of the day to extend your working window. |
| Myth #5: It causes cracking and low spots | Cracking typically happens when the grout is washed off too early. Use the thumb test — if the joint is still soft or bleeding, it’s too soon. Timing is everything, especially in colder weather. |
| Myth #6: It works with every stone type | Flowpoint works with most paving materials — sandstone, granite setts, limestone, clay pavers, ceramics and more. The exception is black limestone without a temporary pre-sealer, which risks oxidisation. |
| Myth #7: Flowpoint causes efflorescence | Efflorescence is not a product fault — it’s usually caused by insufficient bed drying time, excess water in the mix, or pressure-washing the joints too early after application. |
| Myth #8: The paving must be kept soaking wet | Damp, not saturated. Remove all standing water before grouting, then mist the surface throughout application. Too much water weakens the mix and can cause joint failure. |
| Myth #9: Slabs must cure for 28 days first | The key is a solid, set, dry bed — not a fixed number of days. The manufacturer recommends 21–28 days, but contractors often grout sooner when conditions allow. Follow the guidance and use your judgement. |

Frequently Asked Questions — UltraScape Flowpoint Natural Grey (56 Bag Pallet)
I’m Cleo, owner of The Paving Experts. With over 25 years in the construction industry — including time with Tarmac and Instarmac — and a team around me who live and breathe paving, the answers below come from real questions we’re asked every day by contractors and homeowners alike.
1. What is UltraScape Flowpoint?
UltraScape Flowpoint is a rapid-setting, flowable cement-based grout for jointing external paving. Pre-mixed and supplied in 25kg showerproof bags, it requires only the addition of water on site. It conforms to BS 7533 and is designed for use on public realm, landscaping, pathways, pedestrian schemes and carriageways — setting in 15 minutes at 20°C and lasting up to 40 years.
2. What is UltraScape Flowpoint used for?
Flowpoint is used to form rigid, bound, void-free joints in external paving. It is suitable for landscaping contractors working on town-centre pedestrian schemes, pathways and carriageways, as well as domestic projects involving granite setts, natural stone, concrete flags and clay pavers.
3. Is UltraScape Flowpoint BS 7533 compliant?
Yes — UltraScape Flowpoint fully conforms to the requirements of BS 7533. It is NBS Source registered and approved for use on the London Underground and Overground.
4. How quickly does UltraScape Flowpoint set?
Flowpoint reaches initial set in 15 minutes at 20°C. Foot traffic is possible after 1 hour and vehicles can use the surface after 4 hours. Always use the thumb test before cleaning down.
5. How long before you can walk on UltraScape Flowpoint?
Light foot traffic is possible approximately 1 hour after application at 20°C. In cooler conditions allow more time. Always confirm the joint has reached initial set using the thumb test before walking on the area or starting the clean-down process.
6. How long before vehicles can drive over Flowpoint?
Vehicular traffic can use the surface approximately 4 hours after application at 20°C. This early reopening time is one of Flowpoint’s strongest practical advantages for driveways, car parks and public realm schemes.
7. What joint widths can UltraScape Flowpoint be used for?
Flowpoint Standard handles joints from 5mm to 50mm wide and 20mm to 200mm deep. For joints narrower than 5mm, consider Flowpoint Smooth (from 3mm) or Flowpoint Fine (from 2mm). Give us a call if you’re unsure.
8. Can UltraScape Flowpoint be used on natural stone?
Yes — Flowpoint is widely used on sandstone, limestone, Indian Stone, Yorkstone and granite setts. Always carry out a small trial on your specific stone first. For darker limestones, apply Tile Rite Patio Prep to prevent oxidisation.
9. Can UltraScape Flowpoint be used on concrete paving?
Yes — concrete flags are among the paving types listed by Instarmac as suitable for Flowpoint. It creates a strong, non-permeable, weed-resistant joint that handles vehicular loads with ease.
10. Can UltraScape Flowpoint be used for large areas of paving?
Absolutely — large-scale application is one of Flowpoint’s core strengths. Its flowable slurry method covers ground significantly faster than hand-pointing, and a full pallet of 56 bags gives contractors the volume to work a substantial area in a single session. It has been used on schemes up to 40,000m².
11. How do you apply UltraScape Flowpoint?
Pre-soak the paving thoroughly and remove all ponded water. Add 4.25 litres of clean water per 25kg bag and mix for 3–5 minutes until smooth and lump-free. Pour onto the paving and work into joints using a neoprene squeegee. Keep the surface misted throughout. Once initial set is reached, clean down with a brush and plenty of clean water.
12. How much water do you add to a 25kg bag of Flowpoint?
Each 25kg bag requires exactly 4.25 litres of clean water. Mix for 3–5 minutes with a slow-speed drill and paddle mixer until smooth and pourable. Only prepare what you can place in approximately 4 minutes — never remix or add additional water once mixing has started.
13. Can Flowpoint be used in the rain?
Yes — Flowpoint can be applied in light rain, and damp conditions can extend working time beneficially. Ensure joints are clear of ponded water. Do not apply during heavy rain or when frost is forecast within 24 hours.
14. What colours does UltraScape Flowpoint come in?
Flowpoint Standard is available in Natural Grey and Charcoal. For additional colours — Stone Grey, Limestone and Yorkstone — see the Flowpoint Premium range.
15. What is the difference between Flowpoint, Flowpoint Smooth, Flowpoint ECO and Flowpoint Fine?
Flowpoint Standard is the original grade — rapid-setting, flowable, for joints from 5–50mm. Flowpoint Smooth handles joints from 3mm. Flowpoint ECO incorporates 20% recycled glass. Flowpoint Fine handles the narrowest joints from 2mm. All grades are rapid-setting and BS 7533 compliant.
What is a flowable paving grout?
A flowable paving grout is mixed to a slurry and poured directly onto the paving surface, flowing into the joints under gravity with the help of a squeegee. Unlike traditional hand-pointing, the flowable method is faster, more consistent, and substantially less labour-intensive.
Is Flowpoint a good paving grout for driveways?
Yes — with a compressive strength of 49.6N/mm², BS 7533 classification and a 4-hour opening to vehicles, Flowpoint is well-specified for driveway loads. Joints must be at least 5mm wide and 20mm deep, and the bed must be non-permeable and fully set before grouting.
Can I use Flowpoint with darker limestone such as black limestone?
Yes, with the right preparation. Apply a temporary pre-sealer such as Tile Rite Patio Prep before grouting to prevent oxidisation. Call us if you’d like advice on your specific stone.
How long does Flowpoint last?
When correctly applied to a properly prepared bed, Flowpoint can last 30–40 years without re-grouting.
Is Flowpoint permeable?
No — Flowpoint is a non-permeable cementitious grout. It must be used on a solid, non-permeable bed. If you require a permeable jointing solution, contact us.
Will Flowpoint stain my paving?
Flowpoint is designed to clean off without staining when applied correctly. Use a neoprene squeegee and consider Tile Rite Patio Prep for porous or textured stones.
Do I need to pre-seal my slabs before using Flowpoint?
With a temporary pre-sealer (such as Tile Rite Patio Prep or Nexus ProJoint Pre-Grout): do not pre-soak — the sealer replaces this step.
Without a sealer: thoroughly wet the paving, then remove all standing water before grouting.
What is the shelf life of Flowpoint?
8 months from the date of manufacture, printed on the white strip on the side of each bag. Store unopened bags in a cool, dry, frost-free environment, clear of the ground.
How much Flowpoint do I need?
Coverage depends on joint width, depth, stone size and surface absorption. A full pallet of 56 bags covers approximately 670–900m² for natural stone mixed packs, or around 84–112m² for granite setts. Use the Flowpoint Calculator on this page for a precise estimate, or call us and we’ll work it out with you.
What are the delivery terms for this pallet deal?
Free standard delivery (3–5 working days) is included to most addresses in England and Wales. A small surcharge applies for Scotland. Important: free delivery applies to standard 3–5 working day delivery only and requires site access for a 26-tonne articulated vehicle. If your site cannot accommodate a vehicle of this size, the pallet may need to be transferred onto a smaller lorry, which can incur an additional charge. Next-day delivery is available on request but is subject to an extra cost. If you have access restrictions or need to discuss delivery logistics, please get in touch or call us on 0330 122 1025.
Watch the video...
Please note: The videos below show Flowpoint Fine being applied. The mixing and application principles are identical for Flowpoint Standard — the only difference is the water ratio. Flowpoint Fine and Porcelpoint require 3.4 litres per 20kg bucket; Flowpoint Standard, Smooth, ECO and Premium require 4.25 litres per 25kg bag.

Rapid-Set Flowable Slurry Grout for Natural Stone & Granite Setts — Full Pallet, 56 Bags, Free Delivery
If you're ordering a full pallet of UltraScape Flowpoint Natural Grey, you already know what you're doing — this is the grout that landscaping contractors, groundworks teams and public realm specifiers reach for when they need reliable, rapid results at scale.
