How do you mix & apply Flowpoint grout?
- Ensure that your paving slabs & joints are free from debris and any ponded water
- Pre-soak the surface of the slabs & joints with water to ensure they are damp, but not drowned in water
- Pour a bag of Flowpoint into a bucket and add 4.25 litres of water
- Mix for 3–5 minutes until you have a smooth consistency, free of lumps
- Ensure the area is still damp, then apply the mixture immediately by carefully pushing the Flowpoint into the joints using a neoprene squeegee. Please note: Flowpoint can set within as little as 15 minutes (at temperatures of 20°C) so monitor the setting carefully
- Move the Flowpoint grout across the paving surface to top-up joints where the mortar may have sunk
- Use a neoprene squeegee to remove as much of the paving grout from the surface of the slabs — remembering to keep the surfaces constantly damp to prevent the grout from hardening
- Use a brush and lots of water — or alternatively a pressure washer or sponge machine — to remove any grout that has hardened on the paving surfaces
- Once the mortar is dry (after approx. 30 minutes), clean the surface of paving slabs thoroughly to remove any spots of mortar and prevent them from staining
- Your newly grouted patio will be ready to walk on after one hour, and can take vehicles after four hours

UltraScape Flowpoint Natural Grey | Part Pallet — 40 x 25kg Bags | Free Delivery
'40 Bags of Flowpoint Natural Grey — Enough for a Large Natural Stone or Granite Sett Patio, Free Delivered to Your Site'
Forty bags of Flowpoint Natural Grey sits in a productive middle ground: enough to tackle a substantial driveway, a town-centre pedestrianisation section or a sizeable commercial courtyard in a single session, without committing to a full 56-bag pallet. It's the quantity serious landscaping contractors and ambitious self-builders reach for when the job is large but not quite full-pallet scale — and with free standard delivery included, it lands on your site ready to go.
BS 7533 compliant, sets in 15 minutes at 20°C, joints from 5–50mm wide and 20–200mm deep, open to vehicles in 4 hours, supplied in 25kg showerproof bags — UltraScape Flowpoint is a professional-strength flowable paving grout trusted on everything from domestic granite sett driveways to major public realm schemes.
We're a small, family-run business — I'm Cleo, the owner, with over 25 years in the construction industry working with businesses including Tarmac and Instarmac. At 40 bags, we typically see landscaping contractors working on mid-size driveways and courtyard schemes, and homeowners who've done their homework and know exactly how much they need. Flowpoint is a product we'd recommend without hesitation for both.
Flowpoint Standard Natural Grey works confidently across granite setts, sandstone, limestone, porcelain, Indian Stone, Yorkstone, clay pavers and concrete flags. If you're working with darker limestones, apply a temporary pre-sealer such as Tile Rite Patio Prep first — it eliminates the oxidisation risk and keeps Flowpoint viable across a far wider range of stone. Unsure? Read our black limestone guide or give us a call.
UltraScape Flowpoint Natural Grey is a fast-curing, flowable, cement-based paving grout that produces a fluid slurry when mixed with water on site. Poured across the paving surface and worked into joints with a neoprene squeegee, it sets rapidly to leave strong, durable, weed-resistant joints. Compared to traditional hand-pointing it is dramatically faster and far less labour-intensive — making it the go-to choice for contractors who need results without compromise. Forty bags covers a meaningful area and is delivered free to your site.
What Do Industry Experts Say About Flowpoint?
Flowpoint Standard has been the backbone of the Flowpoint range for over 30 years. We asked Gareth Wilson, one of the UK's most respected hard landscaping experts, for his view.
Gareth has 30 years in the landscaping trade, 30 Royal Horticultural Show (RHS) awards for show garden construction, and now works as an expert witness in hard landscaping:
GARETH WILSON — Hard Landscaping Expert & RHS Award Winner
"Some landscapers are stuck in their ways and they don't like change. Their attitude is, 'I've been doing this for 20 years… Why should I change now?' And some are quite rightly scared when they consider pouring Flowpoint onto their slabs — at the end of the day, you are pouring a cementitious slurry directly onto the pavers. It goes against everything that you've been taught. But Flowpoint has been developed so it doesn't stick to the paving."In addition to its British Standard rating and the strength of the product, it's also the speed at which you can install it. If you're going to be on your hands and knees with a trowel and a three-to-one mortar mix, it will take you about five times as long to install, compared with using Flowpoint. Flowpoint is just so easy and quick to install that it makes you money. It's a well-priced product and, in my view, a landscaper's friend. Ultimately, it means less time on the job and more profit in your pocket."
Approved for Use on the London Underground & Overground
Flowpoint is approved for use on the London Underground and London Overground and is NBS Source registered for ease of specification — a natural choice for architects, specifiers and contractors on public realm and commercial projects of any scale.

Common Flowpoint Myths — Busted
| Myth | The Truth |
|---|---|
| Myth #1: Flowpoint is a new product | Flowpoint has been in use for over 25 years and specified on thousands of projects worldwide — from New Zealand to Norway, America to Dubai. |
| Myth #2: You need specialist equipment | A paddle mixer and a long-handled neoprene squeegee are all you need beyond standard paving tools. Everything else you likely already have on site. |
| Myth #3: It's only for experienced contractors | Straightforward once you've seen it done. Watch a demonstration, follow the instructions, and do a trial area first. Most contractors are confident after their first job. |
| Myth #4: Flowpoint sticks permanently to pavers | It doesn't set instantly — keep the surface damp and time your work around the weather. In warm conditions, work during cooler parts of the day. |
| Myth #5: It causes cracking and low spots | Cracking typically happens when grout is washed off too early. Use the thumb test — if the joint still feels soft, wait longer. |
| Myth #6: It works with every stone type | Flowpoint works with most paving materials. The exception is black limestone without a temporary pre-sealer, which risks oxidisation. |
| Myth #7: Flowpoint causes efflorescence | Efflorescence is not a product fault — it's usually caused by insufficient bed drying time, excess water in the mix, or pressure-washing too early. |
| Myth #8: The paving must be kept soaking wet | Damp, not saturated. Remove standing water before grouting, then mist the surface throughout. Too much water weakens the mix. |
| Myth #9: Slabs must cure for 28 days first | The key is a solid, set, dry bed — not a fixed number of days. The manufacturer recommends 21–28 days, but contractors often grout sooner when conditions allow. |

Frequently Asked Questions — UltraScape Flowpoint Natural Grey (40 Bag Deal)
I'm Cleo, owner of The Paving Experts. With over 25 years in the construction industry — including time with Tarmac and Instarmac — and a team around me who live and breathe paving, the answers below come from real questions we're asked every day by contractors and homeowners alike.
1. What is UltraScape Flowpoint?
UltraScape Flowpoint is a rapid-setting, flowable cement-based grout for jointing external paving. Pre-mixed and supplied in 25kg showerproof bags, it requires only the addition of water on site. It conforms to BS 7533 and is designed for use on public realm, landscaping, pathways, pedestrian schemes and carriageways — setting in 15 minutes at 20°C and lasting up to 40 years.
2. How quickly does UltraScape Flowpoint set?
Flowpoint reaches initial set in 15 minutes at 20°C. Foot traffic is possible after 1 hour and vehicles can use the surface after 4 hours. Temperature is the key variable — colder conditions extend the set, warmer ones shorten it. Always use the thumb test before cleaning down.
3. What joint widths can UltraScape Flowpoint be used for?
Flowpoint Standard handles joints from 5mm to 50mm wide and 20mm to 200mm deep in a single application. For joints narrower than 5mm, consider Flowpoint Smooth (from 3mm) or Flowpoint Fine (from 2mm). Give us a call if you're unsure which grade is right for your project.
4. Can UltraScape Flowpoint be used on natural stone?
Yes — Flowpoint is widely used on sandstone, limestone, Indian Stone, Yorkstone and granite setts. Always carry out a small trial on your specific stone first. For darker limestones such as black limestone, apply a temporary pre-sealer like Tile Rite Patio Prep to prevent oxidisation.
5. How do you apply UltraScape Flowpoint?
Pre-soak the paving and remove all ponded water. Add 4.25 litres of clean water per 25kg bag and mix for 3–5 minutes until smooth and lump-free. Pour onto the paving and work into joints using a neoprene squeegee. Keep the surface misted throughout. Once initial set is reached, clean down with a brush and plenty of clean water.
6. How much water do you add to a 25kg bag of Flowpoint?
Exactly 4.25 litres of clean water per bag. Mix for 3–5 minutes with a slow-speed drill and paddle mixer until smooth and pourable. Only prepare what you can place in approximately 4 minutes — once mixed, never add more water or remix.
7. Can Flowpoint be used in the rain?
Yes — Flowpoint can be applied in light rain, and damp conditions can extend your working window. The key requirement is that joints are clear of ponded water before you begin. Do not apply during heavy rain or when frost is forecast within 24 hours.
8. What colours does UltraScape Flowpoint come in?
Flowpoint Standard is available in Natural Grey and Charcoal. For a broader palette — Stone Grey, Limestone and Yorkstone — the Flowpoint Premium range offers the same performance in additional tones.
9. Is Flowpoint permeable?
No — Flowpoint is a non-permeable cementitious grout. Once set, it does not allow water to pass through the joint. It must be used on a solid, non-permeable bed. If you need a permeable jointing solution, contact us and we'll point you in the right direction.
10. Do I need to pre-seal my slabs before using Flowpoint?
With a temporary pre-sealer (such as Tile Rite Patio Prep or Nexus ProJoint Pre-Grout): do not pre-soak — the sealer replaces this step.
Without a sealer: thoroughly wet the paving, then remove all standing water before grouting. The surface should be damp, not waterlogged.
11. What is the shelf life of Flowpoint?
8 months from the date of manufacture, printed on the white strip on the side of each bag. Store unopened bags in a cool, dry, frost-free environment, clear of the ground. Using the product beyond the declared storage period may increase the risk of an allergic reaction.
12. What are the delivery terms for this deal?
Free standard delivery (3–5 working days) is included to most addresses in England and Wales. A small surcharge applies for Scotland — please call us for details before ordering. Important: free delivery requires site access for a 26-tonne articulated vehicle. If your site cannot accommodate a vehicle of this size, the delivery may need to be transferred to a smaller lorry at additional cost. Next-day delivery is available on request but subject to an extra charge. If you have any access restrictions or need to discuss delivery before ordering, please get in touch or call us on 0330 122 1025.
Watch the video...
Please note: The videos below show Flowpoint Fine being applied. The mixing and application principles are identical for Flowpoint Standard — the only difference is the water ratio. Flowpoint Fine and Porcelpoint require 3.4 litres per 20kg bucket; Flowpoint Standard, Smooth, ECO and Premium require 4.25 litres per 25kg bag.

Proven on the UK's Most Demanding Projects
- MediaCityUK, Salford/Manchester — 40,000m² of paving, one of Europe's largest public-realm paving schemes.
- Liverpool Lime Street Station — 4,000m² of specialist paving, delivered by Balfour Beatty.
- Rochdale Town Hall — 2024 BALI National Landscape Award winner for Hard Landscaping Construction over £500k.
- Birmingham Bullring — Spiceal Street & St Martin's Square — selected for rapid application and early trafficking on a high-profile city-centre scheme.
Further reference projects include St Albans Cathedral, Edinburgh city centre, Dubai Mall Zabeel, and University of Canterbury (New Zealand).
JORDAN CLAYTON
"Flowpoint is our go-to product when it comes to jointing all our paving. Like the rest of the materials, I love how it gives me confidence that the products will stand the test of time, allowing homeowners to enjoy their garden for years to come."
